First National Survey of Cause of Death in 1973-1975
In 70s of 20th century, to understand distribution of cancer in Chinese population, explore risk factors, the 1st nation survey of cause of death was conducted under the guidance of Ministry of Health. 29 provinces covering 850 million was surveyed.
This was the biggest scale of epidemiological study in China at that time, it included 2392 county administrative region and described the common cancer among males and females and common location of cancers.
